The Dog & Duck is a busy traditional village pub situated in the heart of Linton, 10 miles from the centre of Cambridge. The pub overlooks the River Granta which runs through the village and leads to the River Cam. The pub dates to the 1600s, which has all the traditional beams, low ceilings in the bar, thatched roof and a toasty log burner.
There is a separate restaurant and snug area that has been recently refurbished offering a relaxing style of dining with friendly, knowledgeable service. The riverside garden is great for eating in the Summer, with plenty of non-smoking booths and benches to choose from. If you’re looking for a more premium outdoor dining experience, then try our beach huts.
The Dog & Duck has a very good reputation for serving the highest quality meals, using the freshest and best produce, delivered daily. Our menu offers a variety of different dishes, ranging from fresh seafood to great quality steaks. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are also available. Linton goes crazy for our Fish & Chip Wednesday offer. Great value, fresh and fried to order for £7.50! Sunday roasts are the highlight of the week. With a different variety of fresh meats from the butcher, giant homemade Yorkshire puddings and gravy to tell you friends about. At our dog friendly bar, we serve a wide range of drinks. We take our beers very seriously, especially real ales. We have 4 real ales, allowing us to serve local and guest ales, as well as having 3 rotating craft lagers available. Gin is our forte. The pub is known for our G&Ts. Different varieties of gins, all researched and served with the appropriate garnish. Oh, and a Fever-tree tonic of course! Look out for any future Gin Night events down the pub.
